When inviting people to teach, it is helpful to have an idea of what talents match with which workshop lessons. We’ve created a new product that does just that.

Pam Riedy used this tool at Green Acres Presbyterian Church in Portsmouth, VA. About 50 people came out to hear about the Workshop Rotation program, learn about the scope and sequence of the Cornerstones Covenant year curriculum and discover how to connect their talents to a workshop lesson.

The magic happened when the group was invited to come to the table spread with 200 labels, connecting particular talents to particular workshop lessons. Each label included the talent, the lesson title, a description of the lesson and the month it would be taught. There was energy, curiosity, laughter and wonder.

We returned to our scope and sequence chart and called people up by the month they would teach. We knew we had a winner when ten people volunteered to teach in September alone. By the time we got to June, the whole chart was full. No more recruiting. No more “I need one more teacher”. Done!
