Rotation Workshop Definitions
Cornerstones offers 11 different workshops for each of our 60 Units. Participants, be they children, youth or adult, come to know God and the stories of the Bible through these creative and experiential workshops. Workshops include storytelling, drama, art, cooking, missions, science, computers, geography, puppetry, audio-visual, movement and games. Bedouin Encampment: Listen to a storyteller (in first person) and experience activities related to the nomadic lifestyle.
Bible @ Your Fingertips: Discover Bible skills while using the computer to learn and interpret the Bible story.
Bible Improv: Get out the costumes and re-enact a Bible story …. or maybe contemporize it, learn the story by being the story.
Created by the Spirit: Forget the craft sticks, markers and paper. Relate to the story in media that are new to the class.
Eat Your Way through the Bible: Eat and prepare food as an illustration of the Bible story, whether in direct relation to the story or as a symbol.
Faith Issues Today: Make the Bible story relevant to the issues of today’s world.
Mary and Martha’s Bed and Breakfast: Listen to a storyteller (in first person) and experience activities related to a domestic, urban environment.
Moved by the Spirit: Interpret the Bible story through large body movement, physical activities and games.
Puppetry: Experience the Bible story through puppets, safely hidden behind the curtain of the stage.
Video-Live!: Lights! Action! Camera! Explore the Bible story by creating a video in a wide variety of contemporary formats.
Where in the World Is?: Experience the geography of the Bible story or learn where this is happening in the world today.
